Michael Moynihan

Originally from Rathmore, Michael joined Recovery Haven as a volunteer in 2016. He was encouraged by his fellow volunteers in 2021 to join the board and become their representative. He takes this role very seriously given the enormous importance volunteers have in the everyday running of the organisation.

In conjunction with all staff, they are the glue that binds together this

exceptional Recovery Haven family.

He lives happily in Tralee with his wife Rachel. They have three adult children, Donal their eldest is married locally while David and Cliodhna are seeking their fortunes in the faraway hills of Australia.

Having graduated from U.C.C. in 1981 the first seven years of his career was with Kerry Group in various accounting and sales management roles. He thanks this foundation and experience for enabling him spend the next thirty-three years happily employed with Heineken Ireland in the Munster region, again in various sales and sales management roles. In 2021, because of the Covid epidemic, Michael gracefully accepted a voluntary redundancy that has enabled him indulge his varied interests.

Every donation makes a difference

At Recovery Haven Kerry, Cancer Support House, we rely almost entirely on voluntary donations and fundraising to continue offering our support services free of charge to cancer patients and their loved ones.

Your donation will help them through their cancer journey, by providing information, counselling and wellbeing services or support managing thoughts and emotions. We can only continue to provide our services free of charge to those who need it with your help.

A monthly recurring donation provides us with a consistent and reliable source of funding that allows us to plan ahead while ensuring our support and services for cancer patients and their loved ones can remain free of charge.
