We were delighted to welcome Christina Lydon and Mary Devane from the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) to Recovery Haven Kerry

We were delighted to welcome Christina Lydon and Mary Devane from the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) to Recovery Haven Kerry today as part of a practice placement site inspection. We are a placement partner with MTU School of Nursing and Healthcare Sciences and host Student Nurses undertaking their BSc in General Nursing.
The NMBI are the statutory regulatory authority for nursing and midwifery in Ireland with responsibility to set and monitor standards of education and training of nurses and midwives.
As part of this, they carry out inspections of placement partners. This was an opportunity to highlight the role of Community Cancer Support Centres like Recovery Haven Kerry in the patient pathway for those on a cancer journey.

Every donation makes a difference

At Recovery Haven Kerry, Cancer Support House, we rely almost entirely on voluntary donations and fundraising to continue offering our support services free of charge to cancer patients and their loved ones.

Your donation will help them through their cancer journey, by providing information, counselling and wellbeing services or support managing thoughts and emotions. We can only continue to provide our services free of charge to those who need it with your help.

A monthly recurring donation provides us with a consistent and reliable source of funding that allows us to plan ahead while ensuring our support and services for cancer patients and their loved ones can remain free of charge.
